Information Systems Cyber Security Engineer, Senior Job

Basic Qualifications:
-5 years of experience with Information Assurance (IA) and security practices
-5 years of experience in working with Computer Network Devices and operating systems
-3 years of experience with working in DoD services or agencies
-3 years of experience with writing SSAAs or other security-related policies
-3 years of experience with DoD 8500.1 and DoD 8500.2
-2 years of experience with vulnerability tools, including eEye Retina
-2 years of experience with resolving security findings discovered on network devices and operating systems
-2 years of experience with the security of Geospatial and interagency data aggregation
-TS/SCI clearance
-BA or BS degree
-CISSP or CISA Certification
Additional Qualifications:
-Experience with defense agencies and officials, including DARPA, DTRA, DSS, DLA, DeCA, or DCAA
-Knowledge of DoD acquisition policy
-Knowledge of Service Orientated Architecture (SOA)
-Possession of excellent oral and written communication skills
-MS degree in a related field
Clearance:
Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; TS/SCI clearance is required.

Key Role:
Participate as the lead in security architecture development and documentation and conduct vulnerability and risk assessments and testing, as needed. Function as an Information Assurance (IA) subject matter expert for DoD clients. Develop and modify Certification and Accreditation (C&A) documentation in compliance with DoD IA policy and guidance, including the DoD 8500 series and DIACAP. Assess program security compliance, support program briefs, and coordinate and compile program security-related documentation for various programs. Assist with the preparation and revision of IA policy and guidance documents for specific cyber security-related technologies. Provide C&A and IA support, including Security Technical Implementation Guidance and DIACAP. Run automated security scans, perform detailed analysis of findings to identify false positives, and develop remediation strategies and mitigation plans to minimize risk. This position is located in Alexandria, VA.
