Cyber Network Security Monitoring and Response Analyst, Junior Job

Basic Qualifications:

-4 years of experience in IT with 1 of those years in an intrusion detection field

-1 year of experience with defining network security requirements for local and wide area networks and detection and analysis of network vulnerabilities

-Active TS/SCI clearance required

-HS diploma or GED required

Additional Qualifications:

-Active TS/SCI clearance with a polygraph preferred

-BS degree preferred

Key Role:

Provide operations for persistent monitoring on a 24 x 7 basis of all designated networks, enclaves, and systems. Interpret, analyze, and report all events and anomalies in accordance with Computer Network Defense (CND) directives, including initiating, responding, and reporting discovered events. Manage and execute first level responses and address reported or detected incidents. Report and coordinate external organizations and authorities. Coordinate and distribute CND, vulnerability, and threat advisories to identified consumers. Provide daily summary reports of network events and activities germane to CND practices and deliver metric reports. This position is located in Crystal City, VA and moves to Hanover, MD.
