Basic Qualifications:
-2 years of experience with Information Assurance (IA) and security practices
-2 years of experience with working in DoD services or agencies
-2 years of experience with writing SSPs or other security-related policy
-2 years of experience with DoD 8500.1 and DoD 8500.2
-2 years of experience with vulnerability tools, including eEye Retina
-2 years of experience in working with computer network devices and operating systems
-2 years of experience with resolving security findings discovered on network devices and operating systems
-1 years of experience with documentation development
-Active Secret clearance
-BA or BS degree
Additional Qualifications:
-Experience with Defense Agencies and officials, including DARPA, DTRA, DSS, DLA, DeCA, or DCAA
-Knowledge of the DoD acquisition policy
-Knowledge of Service Orientated Architecture (SOA) and Cloud Computing Environments
-Top Secret clearance
-MS degree in a related field
-CCNA or another technical Certification
-DoD 8570 recognized Certification, including Security or CISSP

Key Role:
Function as an Information Assurance (IA) controls security tester and subject matter expert for DoD clients. Develop and modify certification and accreditation (C&A) documentation in compliance with DoD IA policy and guidance, including the DoD 8500 series and DIACAP. Assess program security compliance and coordinate and compile program security-related documentation for various programs. Assist with the preparation and revision of IA policy and guidance documents for specific cyber security-related technologies. Provide C&A and IA support, including with Security Technical Implementation Guidance, DIACAP review, Security Test and Evaluation (ST&E), the Network Connection Approval Process, Vulnerability Assessment, and the Host Based Security System (HBSS). Perform security assessments using tools, including eEye Retina, DISA Gold disk, App Detective, and RAT. Perform in-depth analysis to determine false positives, root cause, and mitigation strategies. This position is located in Herndon, VA.
