Cyber Information Systems Security Engineer, Senior Job

Basic Qualifications:
-5 years of experience with Information Assurance (IA)
-2 years of experience in the MHS environment
-2 years with DoDD 8500.1, DoDI 8500.2, and related service component policies
-Experience in working with DIACAP and DITSCAP guidance
-Secret clearance
-BA or BS degree
Additional Qualifications:
-Experience with leading technical projects
-Experience with conducting certification and accreditation
-Knowledge of IA and security laws, regulations, and policy, including federal mandates, DoD MHS requirements, FISMA, and service-specific regulations
-Knowledge of IA best practices and procedures
-Knowledge of HIPAA requirements
-Ability to understand the impact of information security on an information system and the larger organization and how risks may affect a client's goals and objectives
-Ability to meet and communicate with clients, lead investigative interviews, and capture responses in a logical and concise form
-BS degree in Information Systems or a related field a plus
-CISSP or equivalent 8570 Certifications preferred
Clearance:
Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; Secret clearance is required.

Key Role:
Provide Information Assurance (IA) expertise and support for a broad range of needs in IA program management activities in the MHS environment. Review systems engineering design, certification and accreditation, systems analysis and hardening, vulnerability and penetration testing, enterprise architecture, security test and evaluation, and policy analysis. Apply knowledge of technology, analyze the security implications of new IT systems and concepts, and provide recommendations to decision-makers and engineers. Work with government contractors and Military organizations and provide advice and assistance to facilitate certification and accreditation efforts, joint approvals, and interoperability agreements. This position is located in Herndon, VA.
