Description
Key Role:
Provide computer forensics analysis for law enforcement, civil agency, commercial, and Military investigation applications. Conduct examinations of computers and media to develop evidence in support of internal and external investigations in the specialty area of forensic computer science. Conduct analysis of submitted evidence, review laboratory requests, and determine the type of examination needed. Identify and recommend methods and procedures for preservation, evidence recovery, and the presentation of computer evidence. This position is located in McLean, VA.
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications:
-8+ years of experience with information systems, information security, network engineering, or systems administration
-5+ years of experience with forensics technologies
-Ability to obtain a security clearance
-BS or BA degree
Additional Qualifications:
-Experience with Microsoft Windows 2000 and XP, Solaris, Linux, EnCase, Paraben, FTK, or ILook
-Experience with leading incident response and forensics engagements
-Experience with malware analysis or reverse engineering
-Ability to participate in penetration testing and vulnerability assessment engagements
-Secret clearance preferred
-DoD 8570 Certification a plus
-Certified Encase Examiner, Certified Computer Examiner, A+, NET+, GCIH, GIAC, GCFA, or CISSP Certification
Clearance:
Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
