Cyber Security Analyst, Senior Job

Basic Qualifications:

-4 years of experience with cyber security, including conducting risk and vulnerability assessments of planned and installed information systems to identify vulnerabilities, risks, and protection needs

-3 years of experience with developing systems security contingency plans and disaster recovery procedures

-3 years of experience with facilitating the gathering, analysis, and preservation of evidence used in the prosecution of computer crimes or assessing security events to determine impact and implementing corrective actions

-2 years of experience with promoting awareness of security issues among management and ensuring sound security principles are reflected in organizations' visions and goals

-2 years of experience with developing and implementing programs to ensure that systems, network, and data users are aware of, understand, and adhere to systems security policies and procedures

-2 years of experience with participating in network and systems design to ensure implementation of appropriate systems security policies

-Top Secret clearance required

-BA or BS degree

Additional Qualifications:

-Ability to develop information and evidence suitable for criminal and administrative prosecution

-Ability to communicate orally and in writing to express thoughts and ideas to diverse audiences

-Ability to maintain, update, and identify vulnerabilities associated with a wide variety of databases and computer applications

-Ability to compile data, identify potential financial losses and risks, fraudulent activities, and suspicious transactions in order to assist with the criminal prosecution aspect of cyber-related investigations

-Ability to provide support for a variety of business initiatives, identity theft, stock fraud, pharmaceutical fraud, and other electronic criminal investigations

Clearance:

Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; Top Secret clearance is required.

Key Role:

Maintain responsibility for supporting a law enforcement client and provide support for the detection, prevention, and investigation of online fraud and other cyber attacks. Organize and perform complex and sensitive criminal, civil, and administrative projects and studies and work in a task force environment with other analysts and federal investigators. Plan, develop, implement, and monitor projects, programs, and studies within the assigned area of cyber intelligence and security. This position is located in McLean, VA.
