Cyber Software Assurance Engineer Job

Basic Qualifications:

-6 years of experience with software development in multiple languages

-2 years of experience with writing secure code or experience performing other software assurance practices

-Experience with managing/mentoring a software development team

-Experience with authoring network, system, and/or infrastructure documentation and client-ready deliverables

-Experience with Java Development language

-TS/SCI clearance

-BA or BS degree

Additional Qualifications:

-Experience with at least two software development platforms

-Experience with a variety of software development methodologies

-Experience with briefing project details to technical and non-technical stakeholders

-Experience with application hosting practices and working with managed service providers

-Experience with validating software components and cross checking code to ensure that the appropriate security profile is maintained

-Experience with managing scope creep

-Experience with determining software security requirements

-Knowledge of defense-in-depth and other information security information assurance principles and associated supporting technologies

-Ability to develop a WBS and estimate LOE

-Ability to conduct code reviews and develop test plans to determine alignment with functional and security requirements

-MS degree or Graduate Certificate in CS or another IT-related field

-DoD 8570.1-approved Certificate

Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; TS/SCI clearance is required.

Key Role:

Lead the development of secure applications and the integration of security controls into existing software solutions for high-visibility government engagements. Demonstrate experience with developing and implementing secure Web-based and client/server applications using formal software development methodologies and life cycles and conducting security-oriented troubleshooting and conflict resolution, display knowledge of application interfaces with leading network, system, security, and database platforms, and exhibit the ability to collaborate with team leads and clients to appropriately translate functional needs into technical security requirements. Demonstrate the ability to lead software development teams and provide management-level feedback into project planning, procurement, training, enterprise architecture, and security certification activities. Provide secure code review service and application penetration testing. This position is located in McLean, VA.
