Cyber Systems Security Architect Job

Basic Qualifications:

-10 years of experience in a customer-facing position as a professional services consultant or engineer

-5 years of experience with systems architecture and design concept development, requirements definition, and technology selection and addressing technical systems integration challenges in complex heterogeneous environments

-3 years of experience with software application development or testing using a major software development platform, including .NET or Java

-3 years of experience with the applications architecture and design of complex systems environments, including security best practices, Web and application servers, SQL and RDBMS, network services and protocols, and operating platforms

-Experience with integrating security engineering into all aspects of the software development life-cycle (SDLC) and addressing security issues, including access control, identity management, and software component partitioning

-Experience with developing, analyzing, and presenting complex technology trade-offs to senior management

-Experience with engineering secure software systems, including determining security concept of operation and requirements and design, implementation, and engineering aspects for software application development

-Secret clearance

-BA or BS degree

Additional Qualifications:

-Experience with a variety of programming languages and application development methodologies

-Experience with enterprise architecture development and standards

-Experience in integrating software applications with security infrastructure components, including Microsoft Active Directory, LDAP, or SSO middleware

-Experience with designing databases using a major SQL and RDBMS

-Experience in SQL and DBMS specific programming with prominent DB platforms, including Oracle and Microsoft SQL and Server

-Experience with configuring various systems, including application servers, database management systems, operating systems, or network devices

-Experience with industry and federal security standards, including FISMA, NIST, and DIACAP assessment and implementation and IEC/ISO or IEEE

-Experience with certification and accreditation methodologies, policies, and procedures

-Experience with systems development for Department of Homeland Security (DHS)

-Experience with implementing DHS 4300A and 4300B

-Experience with DHS SLM and C&A processes

-Knowledge of a variety of infrastructure or network technologies

-Ability to aid in the development of supporting security technologies and infrastructures and support the development of security implementation mechanisms and processes

-Ability to conduct application or systems evaluations to determine alignment with functional and security requirements

-Ability to develop a WBS and estimate LOE

-DHS Suitability

-Security , SSCP, CEH, GIAC, CISSP, CISM, or CISA Certification preferred

Key Role:

Lead the systems, application, or infrastructure assessment or implementation of defined information security solutions for high-visibility government engagements. Exhibit technical competency in Information Assurance (IA) subject areas for enterprise-level programs. Provide IA support for a broad range of needs in security concept of operations development, security requirements definition, security risk assessment, systems analysis, systems design, security test and evaluation, certification and accreditation, systems hardening, vulnerability testing and scanning, incident response, disaster recovery, and business continuity planning and provide analytical support for security policy development and analysis. Apply experience with SDLC and the application development life-cycle and design, develop, program, configure, deploy, secure, or troubleshoot major software applications and databases. Collaborate with team leads and clients to appropriately translate functional needs into technical security requirements. Demonstrate the ability to lead engineering teams and provide management-level feedback into project planning, procurement, training, enterprise architecture, and security certification activities. This position is located in McLean, VA.
