Cyber Systems Security Engineer, Senior Job

Basic Qualifications:
-8 years of experience with systems architecture and the design of complex systems environments, including security best practices, multi-tiered distributed software applications, integration with various server and network infrastructures, various COTS applications, and operating platforms
-3 years of experience in a customer-facing position as a professional services consultant or engineer
-3 years of experience with software application development or testing using a major development platform
-Experience with all aspects of the software development life-cycle and integrating security engineering into the SDLC
-Experience with security design and engineering aspects for software application development, access control, and software component partitioning
-Experience with security control implementation using tools for penetration testing, vulnerability assessment scans, and federal security standards, including FISMA, NIST, DHS, and DIACAP assessment and implementation
-Secret clearance
-BA or BS degree
Additional Qualifications:
-3 years of experience with systems, network, or infrastructure security integration management
-Experience with a variety of network topologies, including wired, wireless, and satellite
-Experience with certification and accreditation methodologies, policies, and procedures
-Experience with implementing NIST publications and guidelines
-Experience with determining systems, network, or infrastructure security requirements and controls against various industry guidance and best practices, including FIPS, NIST, DIACAP, DITSCAP, IEC/ISO, or IEEE
-Knowledge of COOP, disaster recovery, and mission assurance practices and principles
-Ability to conduct systems, network, or infrastructure evaluations to determine alignment with functional and security requirements
-Ability to develop a WBS and estimate LOE
-MS degree or a Graduate Certificate in CS or another IT-related field
-Security , SSCP, CEH, GIAC, CISSP, CISM, CISA, or CISSP Certification preferred

Key Role:
Lead the systems development or integration and implementation of information security solutions for high-visibility government engagements. Apply experience with technical Information Assurance (IA) subject areas for enterprise programs. Provide IA support for a broad range of needs throughout the SDLC, including security risk assessment, security test and evaluation, systems design, certification and accreditation, systems analysis, systems hardening, vulnerability testing and scanning, incident response, disaster recovery, business continuity planning, and security policy development and analysis. Demonstrate experience with the application development life-cycle, including designing, developing, programming, configuring, deploying, securing, or troubleshooting major software applications and databases. Deploy and configure a variety of hardware, software, and security products, conduct security-oriented troubleshooting and conflict resolution, and collaborate with team leads and clients to appropriately translate functional needs into technical security requirements. Lead engineering teams and provide management-level feedback into project planning, procurement, training, enterprise architecture, and security certification activities. This position is located in Herndon, VA or McLean, VA.
