Network Cyber Security Engineer, Junior Job

Basic Qualifications:

-3 years of experience with writing and reviewing Certification and Accreditation (C&A) documentation

-1 years of experience with pertinent federal and DoD IA policies, mandates, directives, and instructions

-Experience with analyzing vulnerabilities, system configurations, and network architectures to provide mitigation recommendations for identified weaknesses in IAW DoD policy

-Knowledge of DITSCAP or DIACAP

-Ability to obtain IAT Level III certification and computing environment certification within 6 months of hire.

-Ability to obtain or possess IAT Level III Certifications, including CISA, CISSP, GSE, or SCNA

-Secret clearance

-BA or BS degree

-DoD 8570.01-M IAT-I or IAT-II Training and Certification, including Security

Additional Qualifications:

-Experience with security engineering

-Possession of excellent analytic and interpersonal skills

-Possession of excellent oral and written communication skills

-MA or MS degree

Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; Secret clearance is required.

Key Role:

Work with DLA J6 in Philadelphia as an information assurance (IA) services engineer, to enhance and supplement the IA and management support provided to the program manager of the ARN system. Assess security needs and capabilities and enhance and maintain purposeful security designs or configurations that adhere to a common architecture. Maximize the use of common services and implement required controls or safeguards, including testing and verifying. Manage changes to an established baseline in a secure manner. Work under general supervision to follow industry accepted methodologies and other pertinent practices. Keep the government's best interest in mind, use efficient and effective methods, and demonstrate experience with cost control.
