Information Assurance Network Engineer Job

Basic Qualifications:

-4 years of experience with Information Assurance (IA) or Information Systems Security Engineering

-Experience with the development and implementation of security policies, IA strategies, or security architectures

-Knowledge of firewalls, application proxies, intrusion detection systems, and commercial VPNs, including Cisco VPN products

-Knowledge of PKI, including certificate authorities, SSL/TLS protocols, NSA Type 1 network encryptors, and identity management principles

-Knowledge of Air Force networks and design of network architectures

-Knowledge of internetworking routing protocols, including OSPF and BGP

-Knowledge of network traffic generators, sniffers, and packet inspectors

-TS/SCI clearance

-BS or BA degree

Additional Qualifications:

-Experience with OpNet modeling and simulation preferred

-Experience with Common Criteria for IT Security Evaluations or the NSA Cryptographic Certification Process

-Experience with DoD communications or commercial IT systems development activities

-Experience with giving presentations

-Knowledge of cryptography

-Possession of excellent oral and written communication skills

-Possession of excellent interpersonal skills preferred

-BS or BA degree in a technical field preferred

-CISSP Certification

-CCNA Certification

Key Role:

Work in a government cyber environment to deliver high-quality, technical, client solutions and offer the opportunity to build functional capabilities upon Information Assurance (IA), network engineering, and architecture expertise. Support the design of security architectures for large-scale, cross-organizational systems and design enterprise security services. Build knowledge of security design principles and how to apply them to achieve information security objectives. Increase knowledge of network, systems, and application architectures and their associated security technologies. Develop related intellectual capital, whitepapers, and presentations. Ensure IA strategies for new technologies, including High Assurance Internet Protocol Encryptors (HAIPE), integrate into a cohesive system-level IA strategy. This position is located in San Antonio, TX.
