System Security Engineer/Cyber Information Assurance Analyst, Junior Job

Basic Qualifications:

-2 years of experience with IT system and network engineering

-2 years of experience with Information Assurance (IA), security practices, and certification and accreditation (C&A)

-2 years of experience with working with DIACAP and DITSCAP guidance

-2 years of experience with DoD 8500.1 and DoD 8500.2 IA control sets

-Experience with vulnerability alert tracking, awareness training, systems administrator certification, and all other activities that contribute to the implementation of the full range of IA policies, procedures, and guidelines

-Secret clearance required

-BA or BS degree

Additional Qualifications:

-Experience with DoD enterprise tool set deployment and sustainment, including HBSS, SCCVI, SCRI, and antivirus solutions

-Experience with DoD components and Military enterprise networks

-Knowledge of DoD IA policy, including 8500-series directives and instructions

-Knowledge of the Global Information Grid (GIG) IA Portfolio (GIAP) capability areas

-Knowledge of Navy and Marine Corps Intranet (NMCI) security architecture

Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; Secret clearance is required.

Key Role:

Provide Information Assurance (IA) support to the Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA). Support the implementation of IA policy and procedures to ensure compliance with OMB, the Federal Information Security Management Act of 2002, and DoD and DON guidelines and assist with the development and maintenance of certification and accreditation packages and Information Systems Security Policy (ISSP). Work collaboratively with senior client staff members to support the development and fielding of IA systems to meet DoD functional and operational requirements. Review documentation, including test plans, test reports, network architecture and design documents, and implementation plans. Interact with the client using excellent written and oral communication skills. Review existing DoD and DON policies, procedures, and guidelines and draft policy documents for the NAVSEA enterprise. Confirm IA requirements and provide support implementing proper control mechanisms. This position is located in Washington, DC.
